Accomplishments & Completed Projects since November 2020

When I began as a commissioner in November of 2020, my expectations for the future of our city were extremely high. How encouraging and uplifting it was to witness the city surpass these expectations in my first four years. By seeking input and help from our community, city staff, county & state legislatures, administrators, non-profit organizations, business owners, and the commission, we were able to make so many improvements to our parks, roads, and the overall cleanliness of our small town.  Additionally, we were able to increase capital projects using ARP funds and other Federal/State grants.

By re-organizing our Police Department personnel coupled with updating their mission statement and vision, we have maintained the lowest number of victim related crimes since the city began keeping these types of statistics.
