Served 2 years as Soddy-Daisy Commissioner
Currently serving as Soddy-Daisy Mayor
Influences are Essential
My father, Doug Everett, was my hero growing up. He taught me the value of honesty, integrity, accountability, and hard work. He was a 30-year law enforcement officer serving as Chief of Police of Soddy-Daisy for a total of 15 years during that time. His dedication to our city is what influenced me to become a police officer, and has been instrumental in my desire to be your commissioner. Our city is in dire need of fair, compassionate, and strong leadership. It is my desire to continue the legacy of my father and serve the citizens of this city utilizing the same traits he
instilled in me.
Family Matters
I am 52 years old and have been with my wife, Marilyn for 33 years. We have two daughters that are married. My family pictured above are members of North Hamilton Church of Christ. Our values are God, Country, and Family. I believe if you take care of the first two on the list, your family and community will be blessed beyond measure. We all believe servant leadership is the only way to show folks their importance to you. Every member of our community is important and deserves a voice. If re-elected, I would love to continue serving the citizens of Soddy-Daisy and give them a voice within our local government.
